It is actually quite affordable and will measure our walking steps everyday. As we check our daily walking stats, we will want to increase the number of steps on a regular basis because no one likes to sit on their past laurels; once we achieve a position, we would want to get higher and higher!
As you start walking, you will feel much healthier and your energy levels will increase.
3. Put on the right clothes: walking for weight loss won’t be an enjoyable experience unless we put on loose-fitting trousers that allow free movement of limbs. Don’t wear any tight-fitting dress that makes us uneasy.

Things Keep Getting Worse for the Cleveland Browns
The Cleveland Browns are looking quite miserable. After a very disappointing 2008 season, it doesn’t look like things are much better so far in 2009.
Looking at the cast of players in Cleveland, it doesn’t seem like there’s much for them to be too excited about either.
There was Brady Quinn, a young quarterback with a promising future, and Eric Mangini, who came over as the team’s new head coach after being dismissed from New York.
The 09′ season for the Browns has been dismal at best. Brady Quinn is scrambling for his life and Derek Anderson has yet to regain his form from the 07′ season. When two different quarterbacks throw more interceptions then touchdown passes, you know you are in trouble.
The team lost a 27-6 game to the Broncos in Denver. The Broncos had one of the downright worst defenses in the 2008 season, and they looked absolutely spectacular in week 2 against the Browns. The Browns didn’t have anything going their way on either side of the ball.
Donte Stallworth would have provide Brady Quinn or Derek Anderson a target, Stallworth is suspended by the NFL for a DUI vehicular manslaughter incident in the off-season.
So maybe Denver really does have a good defense. Is it possible?
There’s a good chance that the Browns will be just as bad as they were in 2008, and possibly even worse. Mangini or not, this team needs some serious help in 2009 and they need more than a few good draft picks.

The Denver Broncos are Looking Special
Wow! After a disappointing 2008 campaign and one of the worst defensive performances around, the Broncos were looking pretty dreadful. On top of this, their star quarterback, Jay Cutler, demanded a trade, and their star wide receiver, Brandon Marshall, refused to play.
The 2008 season was a disappointment – while the Broncos have started out well, their strength of schedule is one of the most difficult in the league. If the Broncos go 8-8 it will be a miracle. As good as the 09′ season started for the Broncos, it can sink just as fast.
New head coach Josh McDaniels didn’t start his new job off with a bang. After upsetting QB Jay Cutler to the point where he wanted to be traded, the Broncos looks as they were doomed.
Sure, their first two opponents have been relatively easy ones. The Browns at home is a game they should be expected to win, and the Bengals in Cincinnati? Well, usually one would see this as an easy one too, except for the fact that the Bengals just marched into Green Bay last Sunday and came away with an unexpected win.
The Broncos defense has been a huge surprise thus far. They have the one of the top ranked defenses in the league as of now. Their defense was they Achilles heal in 08′ and cost them a chance at the playoffs.
The Browns offense is pretty bad, but the Bengals have always been strong as long as Carson Palmer’s around. With Palmer back in the line up, it opens up a ton of room for their running game.
Individually, the Broncos are doing well on defense too. Take Elvis Dumervil, for example, whose four sacks during the first two quarters against the Browns are more than any Denver Bronco has ever achieved in a half of football.
Now that’s serious. If Denver can keep this level of play up on defense, they’re going to surprise a lot of fans. We all know that defense wins championships!

Maryland Biking Hot Spots
One of the nicest states for offroad riding is one of the smallest in the country – Maryland. It’s got a lot of beautiful terrain from the foothills of the Appalachians to the mangrove swamps and tidal inlets, with pine forest and deep scarps to provide a beautiful set of scenery and lovely terrain. It’s got much sandier and muddier terrains than the New England states and is representative of the Atlantic central basin.
Starting off in Maryland, we recommend the Northern Central Railroad Trail, outside of Baltimore. It’s a bit of a drive, but there’s 39 and a half miles of railroad graded cuts through the forest and woods with some of the most isolated terrain on the Eastern Seaboard. It’s got a lot of leisurely inclines, and spots off the side that are good for a picnic, and it’s suitable for beginners or for a family fun ride. It can get crowded during the height of the summer riding season, but the views are worth it. Bring your camera!
Another place to look is the Green Ridge State Forest. This 20 mile trail network is near Hagerstown with a range from beginners to technical challenges. They’re all well maintained single and double track trails and there’s a lot of terrain to enjoy.
Another premier destination is the Fair Hill Equestrian Center, which is just outside of Wilmington, near the Delaware border. With 25 miles of trails, it’s a landmark worth running through, and a map of the entire trail network can be had for $2. The trails have a lot of variety, with different degrees of difficulty. There are creek crossings, hills, logs, roots and more. It can be beautiful – it can also be a mess. When you’re done with the trail you’ll be glad of the experience, and need to do some laundry.
Another Maryland hot spot for off road cycling is near Washington DC, with Cedarville State Park. This 8-mile loop is mostly flat, but it’s not boring. It’s got a few minor hills, but it’s more of a tour ride course than a hard core challenge to your bike handling skills. Most of the trails are color coded for difficulty, but this comes with a minor cost – there’s a $3 entry fee to get into the park.
The Haystack Railroad Trail near LaVale has tremendous possibilities for experienced bikers. The railroad was in use back in the 1800s. There are now several track beds on the mountain. Some of the descents are quite an adrenaline rush! Motorcycles also use these trails, so keep an eye out for others.
Lexington Park is the host to Saint Mary’s River Park, with a bit of riding and course work for everyone. It’s got 8 miles of technical challenges to ride over, with short hard climbs, lots of mud, roots and tight turns. It’s a serious workout – there’s also a slightly easier side course for people who want something that’s a bit less of a thighburner. This trail is closed from December through the beginning of March, and it’s a mudpit earlier in the season.
Maryland’s variety of terrain makes it a rich environment for off road cycling. It’s been called America in Miniature, and it’s a biker’s dream. The trails listed are just the beginning of what you can explore, so happy trails!

Can the Carolina Panthers Turn Their Season Around?
The Carolina Panthers haven’t started out their 09′ season as well as they hoped for undoubtedly. Nothing has gone according to plan, Jake Delhomme isn’t productive, the wide receivers haven’t impressed much, the defense isn’t what it was before, and the whole team is in the dumps.
The Carolina Panthers were a dangerous football team in 2008. Armed with one of the best wide receivers in the game (Steve Smith), a great quarterback (Jake Delhomme), and arguably the best running back in football in 2008 (DeAngelo Williams), the Panthers were dangerous.
The 09′ season hasn’t started off like the Panthers would hope for – they are a team in disarray and the terrible game against the Cardinals seems fresh in their minds.
The Panthers offense is one of the lowest ranked in the NFL – with a WR like Steve Smith one would assume that couldn’t happen. The Panthers are underachieving greatly and time is not on their side to turn things around quickly. Their competition in the NFC South is the Atlanta Falcons and the high octane offense New Orleans Saints.
The Panthers haven’t shown up as of yet, they rank in the lower 3rd of every defensive category besides passing yard defense. The last several years have shown that it is very hard to repeat as division winners in the NFC South – 02′ Tampa Bay Buccaneers 03′ Carolina Panthers 04′ Atlanta Falcons 05′ Tampa Bay Buccaneers 06′ New Orleans Saints 07′ Tampa Bay Buccaneers 08′ Carolina Panthers. The chances are good that the Carolina Panthers won’t repeat as division champs.
In week 1, the Carolina Panthers were embarrassed by the Eagles on their own field. They lost this game by a score of 38-10. Their defense was pitiful, and Jake Delhomme looked just as dreadful at the quarterback position.
WR Steve Smith is one of the best play-makers in the NFL but has been forgotten and seemingly an after thought. They don’t have many other go to targets, so Steve must step up and mesh with Delhomme as quick as possible.
Jake Delhomme can not keep throwing interceptions and putting his team in a hole if they hope to win football games.

How To Increase Your Endurance For Running
If you are anything like me, then you probably really enjoy running (and cardio in general). Running is an excellent way to stay fit and healthy, and is fun because you get to go literally anywhere you want while doing it. However, you will definitely need a certain level of endurance in order to maintain a steady pace. But do not worry; it is not all that difficult to increase your endurance.
One way to build up your endurance level for running/jogging is to run an extra 1/4 of a mile, just when you are ready to call it quits. You wouldn’t even believe the difference this can make with your endurance level, especially if you are just starting out. Give this a try for about 2 or 3 weeks, and you will definitely notice a significant boost in your endurance level.
You may want to also add on an extra day of running to your weekly runs. For example, if you run 3 times a week, try adding on just 1 more day, and run 4 times per week. This will increase your stamina for running, since the more often you do anything cardio-related, the quicker your endurance will increase.
Also, do not be afraid to try some other fun activities; this can be a great way to build endurance, and add variety. For example, try a fun, fast paced sport in which you are constantly moving/running for a somewhat long period of time. A perfect example would be the sport of airsoft, since you will literally always be running in this game (especially since you are getting shot at with plastic airsoft BBs by other players). This is just one example of a fun way to build your endurance by utilizing a popular recreational sport.
One more suggestion is to try interval training. This can be in the form of sprinting, running up hill, or even running downhill (this is actually a lot more work than most people realize, and will also work a different group of leg muscles). Most people do not see interval training as effective for building endurance, since it takes very little time (but requires a LOT of energy). Interval training definitely increases endurance though, and also increases your leg strength as well. This will indirectly increase your endurance for running.
