Today, in part three of CVaSports.com’s series on the Louisa County wrestling program, we will focus and highlight the tremendous depth on the roster with INSIDER insight on senior Chris Harris (189 pounds), junior Andrew Harris (125), sophomore Ethan Faulls (112) and freshman Josh Scharf (103).

In part two, we focused on Stephen MacCauley (145), Logan McNutt (160) and Charlie Elkins (heavyweight), who have a combined 42-2 overall record.

In part one, we highlighted Head Coach Chris Whitlow and Louisa County’s rise to power in Central Virginia.

Louisa County's Ethan Faulls is 10-1 overall at 112 pounds. Along with a handful of Lion Nation grapplers, Faulls will have the spotlight shining on him all week long.

To make the kind of impact that Doug Straley and the Louisa County athletic department have made over the last few years, two things are for certain — you must have great athletes and even better coaches.

Take the Louisa wrestling program for instance. Top to bottom, the Lions have tremendous talent and a confident head coach in Chris Whitlow.

Lions have Mineral Militia on mats

Louisa County's Logan McNutt is 15-0 at 160-pounds.


The Louisa County wrestling program exploded on the scene three years ago with its first Jefferson District championship in school history, snapping a dominating stretch by JD goliath Orange County in the process.

In 2005-06, one year removed from the epic march, the Lions made things twice as nice for the Mineral Militia by bring home its second district championship in as many years.
