The Charlottesville girls hoops team has probably endured the most adversity from a won-loss standpoint in - I don’t know - five years now.
At least since I started covering the team (Andrea Barbour’s freshman year), I can’t remember the last time the Black Knights have dropped back-to-back Jefferson District contests, especially two that meant so much.

O.K. We’re getting straight to it.
I know the Charlottesville girls hoops team missed the championship of the Holiday Classic for the first time since, well, since I can ever remember.
The Black Knights are young and in search of a third scorer and desperately need some depth. A third-place victory over Orange County and a Central Virginia-less Holiday Classic final, appeals to no one in this area, especially a CHS camp accustomed to winning and winning big.
