BREAKING NEWS: Byers to JMU; Smith to Virginia State

Chad Byers will report in August to JMU to play football. He will start out as a slot back, but look for him to move around based on his athleticism.

This insider thinks he will wind up on the defensive side of the ball.

Congratulations Chad.

His favorite receiving target while setting the record for passing yards in CVA, Chris Smith will report to Virginia State in Petersburg to play both football and basketball this year.

Originally, [Smith] was only playing basketball.

This should be a great opportunity for him on the gridiron. There are thousands of 6'6" small forwards or shooting guards in the country, but there are very few receivers of his size and speed that can do what he is capable of doing on the football field.
