AHS falls short in CD field hockey
By Staff Report

Albemarle’s attempt to mount a late rally against Colonial Forge came up short on Thursday.
The Patriots got a late goal from junior Katie Williams with 80 seconds left in the game, but suffered a 2-1 setback against their Commonwealth District field hockey rival.
“I think what we really need to work on is finishing,” Albemarle coach E.A. Fagan told the Daily Progress.
“I’ve got a great group of athletes that know where to be and where to get to the ball, it’s just once we get in the circle we need to finish.”
The Patriots remain winless on the young season.
